Information about the “Bay­e­risches Er­mä­ßi­gungsticket for students” (38 euro ticket)

Students can buy a discounted “Deutschlandticket” for 38 euros a month from the regional public transport provider Verkehrsverbund Groß­raum Nürn­berg (VGN). Like the “Deutschlandticket”, the ticket can be used all across Germany on regional public transport and can be canceled on a monthly basis. The “Deutschlandticket” or “Bildungsticket” for students and trainees (38 euro ticket) was introduced in 2023. The semester ticket is now no longer available. The semester contribution for re-registration will therefore be reduced to the contribution for Student Services. For winter semester 2024/25 this comes to 72 euros.
