Registration periods for module examinations:
Summer semester 2024:
- May 27 (00:01) until June 16, 2024 (23:59)
Winter semester 2024/2025:
- Regular registration period for all examinations that are offered once a semester or for the first date for examinations that are offered twice in the same semester: (provisionally) November 18 (00:01) until December 8, 2024 (23:59)
- Registration period for resit examinations offered in the same semester (second examination date at Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Theology or Faculty of Sciences):
Second examination dates at the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Theology: From the Monday after the end of the lecture period of the current semester until March 20th (winter semester) or September 20th (summer semester).
Second examination dates at the Faculty of Sciences: From the Monday four weeks before the lecture period begins in the following semester until the lecture period begins in the following semester (other times may apply for State Examination degree programs)
Students must register for these examinations via campo.
The registration function is only activated during the registration period.

Registration periods
First part (M1n)
Students must no longer register in person. Registration documents M1 (PDF file or Word file) can be sent by post or delivered by hand to the central letterbox of the University at the Schloss or the letterbox at Halbmondstrasse 3 in Erlangen from November 27, 2024 to January 10, 2025. Please note the further information in: information sheet “Anmeldung M1n Frühjahr 2023” and “Wichtige Hinweise zur Zulassung und Postzustellung” (in German)
Second and third parts (M2 and M3)
Students are no longer required to register in person. Registration documents M2 and M3 (“Antrag für M2” or “Antrag für M3”) can be sent by post or delivered by hand to the central letterbox of the University at the Schloss or the letterbox at Halbmondstrasse 3 in Erlangen from May 13, 2024 to June 10, 2024.
Registration documents (see “Information and forms” below) can be submitted immediately per post or delivered by hand to the central letterbox of the University at the Schloss until May 24, 2024. Please note the further information in: “Information sheet Anmeldung ” and “Wichtige Hinweise zur Zulassung und Postzustellung” (in German)
Please also note the relevant transitory provisions in the new licensing regulations for dentists regarding the deadlines according to which examinations can be taken under the previous licensing regulations (degree was started before winter semester 2021/22).
The application to sit the first and second part of the State Examination in Dentistry (see “Information and forms” below) must be signed and completed in full and submitted to the Examinations Office with the documents listed in the application by June 10, 2024 at the latest
(Section 21 nos. 1, 2 and 3 in conjunction with Section 19 (2) and (3), as well as Section 20 (1) ZApprO (Licensing Regulations for Dentists). The documents can be submitted by post or delivered by hand to the central letterbox of the University at the Schloss. You are responsible for ensuring that you register on time. Applications received after the deadline cannot be considered.
Please register for module 6.1 (part of the state examination for midwives pursuant to degree program and examination regulations for midwives, HebStPrV) on campo during the general examination registration period.

- First section (Z1) Autumn 2024: September 17 until October 4, 2024 (changes still possible for organizational reasons)
- Second section (Z2) Autumn 2024: September 16 until September 30, 2024 (changes still possible for organizational reasons)

The examinations for module 6.1 will take place on September 16 and September 26, 2024.

Information about studying according to the new Licensing Regulations is available on the relevant website of the Faculty of Medicine. An application for the accreditation of course achievements should be submitted to the government of Upper Bavaria.

Individuals who have completed medical training outside of the EU/EEA may have to complete a knowledge assessment (Kenntnisprüfung) before they can be granted a license to practice medicine in Germany (cf. Section 3 (3), BAÖ). The Examinations Office will notify the government of Upper Bavaria of candidates who require this assessment. Knowledge assessments are held all year round. You will receive a written invitation with the location and date of the examination at the latest five days before it is due to take place (see Section 37 (3) (2) ÄAppO).
The knowledge assessment can also take place at a university hospital. The examination papers are sent to the institution conducting the examination. The results of the knowledge assessment are reported to the government of Upper Bavaria by FAU.

You will receive a written invitation with details of the date and location of the assessment.
