What is the degree program about?
In this course, you will acquire interdisciplinary and subject-related skills with regard to the international and intercultural dimension of pedagogical action in a globalized world and in linguistically and culturally heterogeneous classes/in multicultural and multilingual classrooms, which go beyond the basic qualification according to the „Teacher Exmaination Regulations I (LPO I). The certificate profiles you for international affairs, (virtual) exchange projects, school partnerships and international school development processes at schools and can prepare you for taking on special tasks in schools. With this certificate, you are particularly qualified to work in schools that have an international and intercultural profile and implement strategies for education in a globalized world as part of their school development concept. The acquired competences also open up opportunities for specialization in the educational Master’s degree program with the profile „International Education“ (MA Erziehungswissenschaftlich-Empirische Bildungsforschung und MA Pädagogik at FAU).
