Outstanding individual research
Diversity and passion in research
FAU performs exceptionally well in terms of third-party funding: The University secures around 200 million euros every year for implementing groundbreaking research projects. This results in a high potential for innovation and high international visibility. This is thanks to the excellent researchers at the University and their specific areas of research and interests. The quality and variety of their individual research form the interdisciplinary connections that make collaborative research possible.
FAU has made a conscious decision to promote individual research and assists its researchers with submitting individual applications. It has put measures in place that consider all career stages and potential application proposals. This includes individual application advice at the faculties provided by research coordinators, assistance with planned ERC applications and supporting first-time applicants with the Emerging Talents Initiative. Attractive resources for heads of junior research groups and opportunities to become an assistant professor with tenure track ensure the best stay at FAU.
