Full Professor of Primary Education and Teaching
focusing on Inclusion

at the Department of Education at the Institute of Primary Education Research. This is a full-time and permanent position to be filled by the earliest possible starting date. The appointment is governed by Article 3 (5) of the Bavarian Concordat.
We seek to appoint a leading expert with an internationally visible profile in research and teaching both in the subject of primary education in general as well as in at least one specialized area of primary education (acquisition of written language and general studies).
The successful candidate is expected to have outstanding credentials in empirical research into teaching and education in the area of primary education and teaching. Experience in interdisciplinary research in teaching methodology for specialized subjects, education/psychology or education for special needs is required, and the successful candidate will be expected to establish international partnerships. We expect success in acquiring third-party funding and an established research profile proven through visible publications and an academic network.
We would particularly welcome applications from people who do not only have the relevant profile with respect to primary education and teaching but who also have specialist expertise and have conducted research into the topic of inclusion. A focus on children’s rights is desired. Teaching duties will predominantly cover the degree program Teaching in Primary Education, and the professor will also be expected to take part in the Master’s degree program Empirical Educational Research. The successful candidate will be expected to get involved in the research activities at FAU on the topic of human rights, and we expressly desire a willingness to actively collaborate with the Center for Teacher Education at FAU.

The Faculty of Business, Economics, and Law at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) invites applications for an
Associate Professor of Healthcare Management and Research
(tenure track W2 to W3)
at the School of Business, Economics and Society. The position is to be filled by the earliest possible starting date for an initial period of six years. FAU offers the long-term perspective of a permanent appointment to a full professorship at pay grade W3 if the requirements of the tenure evaluation are met.
We seek to appoint a leading expert with an internationally visible profile in research and teaching. The professor will be assigned to the Institute of Management and will focus on the areas of healthcare management and research from a predominantly business administration perspective. Candidates are expected to have conducted well-founded research using applied methods of empirical social research and in areas that are suitably connected to the Institute for Management at the School of Business, Economics and Society and other faculties. The professor must be willing to collaborate with existing professorships in research and in the context of the Master’s degree program in Health Management and Health Economics (MiGG) and the Master of Health Business Administration (MHBA) and Master in Health and Medical Management (MHMM) which are taught in German. Modules taught by the professor that are suitable for the Faculty of Medicine are also desirable.
To ensure the flexibility of professional development programs, the professor will be required to teach outside of regular teaching hours (evenings and weekends). We expect the successful candidate to be actively involved in supporting the internationalization of degree programs at FAU. Applicants should have an economic and preferably also medical background with a minimum requirement of medical knowledge at the Master’s level. The candidate must demonstrate the quality of their previous research through publication of research in relevant journals in the field of healthcare research. Candidates should also be represented in international networks and expert panels.
The successful candidate will represent healthcare management and healthcare research and teach these subjects in Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs. Ideally, the candidate will contribute to several of the following research areas in healthcare research:
- Healthcare management for designing healthcare services (managed care) through the use of monetary (e.g. pay-for-performance) and non-monetary (e.g. quality transparency) incentive systems
- Regional health services research (use of register data or primary data from regional health services)
- Health economic evaluations
- Preference research on healthcare structures and services (patients, doctors) (medical decision making)
- Use of digital care innovations to ensure high-quality healthcare provision
- Acceptance research to design solutions for care management and patient care
- Outcome measurement by means of patient-reported experiences (PREs) or patient-reported outcomes (PROs)
The professorship will be expected to participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with other departments at the university, extramural research and industry.

at the School of Business, Economics and Society. This is a full-time and permanent position to be filled at the earliest possible starting date.
We seek to appoint a leading expert with an internationally visible profile in research and teaching. The successful candidate should represent all facets of corporate management in research and teaching. The professor is expected to contribute to research excellence at the faculty and FAU through internationally competitive research and publication in national and international journals in corporate management. In addition to the primary research focus of corporate management, other neighboring disciplines such as succession and organizational resilience are of interest. Research conducted at the professorship should offer collaborative links to other research focus areas at the Institute of Management and the School of Business, Economics and Society.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to teach in business sector strategies, corporate strategies, change management and managerial finance as these are key management topics in the Master’s degree in management. The professorship is responsible for managing and accompanying the accreditation of this degree program on behalf of the Institute for Management and candidates must be willing to contribute to the future development and representation of this program. Candidates must have experience in teaching large foundation courses, design and implementation of online teaching modules and teaching professional development programs (MBA and Executive Education).

The Faculty of Medicine at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft invite applications for a
tenure-track position as Full Professor of Digital Medicine in Movement Analysis
(salary group W3)
at the Department of Molecular Neurology at the Uniklinikum Erlangen. This is a full-time position to be filled by the earliest possible starting date.
In addition, the professor will head a research group in the Center for Sensor Technology and Digital Medicine at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS in Erlangen and will be involved in the CARE-MED research project at FAU. The professorship is initially for a fixed term of six years and will be established based on the “Berlin model” between FAU and Fraunhofer. After a joint positive evaluation conducted by the Faculty of Medicine and the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, the professorship will be permanently tenured.
We seek to appoint a leading expert with an internationally visible profile in research and teaching. The research-related and strategic objectives of the professorship are tailored toward the following key research priorities: Developing and evaluating digital and sensor-based technologies as well as establishing digital biomarkers for recording movement patterns, developing digital care concepts, health economic evaluations and research into daily care based on medical engineering.
The professor will also be responsible for excellently fulfilling key priorities in research and teaching, demonstrating management skills in research and technology, interacting with research funding providers, research partners and industry, as well as expanding strategic connections between FAU and Fraunhofer.
The successful candidate will be expected to have extensive experience in heading large interdisciplinary research groups, in the strategic planning, acquisition and implementation of projects relating to applied research and national and international research projects, and in technology transfer.
The professor will be expected to collaborate in research networks at the Faculty of Medicine (collaborative research centers, research training groups, Interdisciplinary Center for Clinical Research), and priority programs at the Uniklinikum Erlangen (e.g. medical engineering) and be involved in teaching students. - Provable security for cryptographic protocols
