FAUnext4all
FAUnext4all lunch talks
In our series FAUnext4all, invited speakers hold brief presentations on specific topics that are of interest to the target group of postdoctoral researchers and assistant professors (W1). In a relaxed atmosphere, participants can ask their questions and discuss with the speakers. After the event, participants and speakers can remain in touch for further questions or to provide additional support. All presentations are open to members of the FAUnext career program and FAU in general, irrespective of their participation in the FAUnext program.
Each presentation lasts 45 minutes. Talks are held in English and online via Zoom; a link will be sent beforehand by e-mail.

Prof. Dr. Ute Klammer, University of Duisburg-Essen: Discovering and Communicating Excellence
What is actually perceived as scientific “excellence” – and what do younger scientists understand by it? Where and how can and should they and their achievements be (made) visible? After a very successful and inspiring lecture in October 2024 in the context of the FAU MoD Lecture Series, organized by the Research Center for Mathematics of Data at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, we have decided to invite Prof. Dr. Ute Klammer to give a shorter version of her lecture for the audience of the FAUnext4all.
Prof. Dr. Ute Klammer is Professor for Social Policy at the University of Duisburg-Essen and Managing Director of the Institute for Work, Skills and Training (IAQ), as well as of the “German Institute for Interdisciplinary Social Policy Research” (DIFIS).
