Who is responsible for the topic at FAU?

We at FAU take the energy crisis very seriously. A working group “Energiekrise ZUV” has been established, consisting of representatives of Department G and Occupational Safety, to take care of assessing, prioritizing and implementing energy-saving measures at FAU. At a wider level, Energy Management and Energie Campus Nürnberg are also involved.

Responsibility for communication lies with the Chancellor and members of staff in the Chancellor’s office, Communications and Press and the Green Office, in close consultation with the ZUV energy crisis working group.

The Green Office offers workshops in proactive energy-saving measures, campaigns for increased acceptance and brings internal FAU stakeholders together to work out joint solutions. As of January 1, 2023, work will begin here on drafting a climate protection concept for FAU that will highlight short-term, medium-term and long-term goals and measures for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and enabling FAU to work toward meeting national climate protection goals.
