Internationalization
Global commitment and an international profile
For FAU, internationalization means
… taking an increasingly international approach both internally and externally and increasing the international diversity of people at FAU, at the same time as boosting the attractiveness of FAU for this target group. In addition, our focus lies on the quantitative and qualitative expansion of international partnerships and networks as well as achieving a measurable increase in our international visibility and reputation.
Internationalization has grown in importance from a niche consideration to one of our major cross-sectional tasks that is systematically integrated into all our strategic fields of action.
Go global: Global and sustainable networking
FAU is more than just a Bavarian university with important international partnerships, it is a global player in its own right. As a leading innovator, FAU benefits from a strong and internationally active network and assumes a pioneering role when it comes to establishing partnerships across the globe and encouraging and facilitating collaboration in various regions of the world.
Go European: FAU as a member of the European University EELISA
The “European Engineering Learning Innovation and Science Alliance” (EELISA) is FAU’s European University Alliance – a partnership of ten European universities from Hungary, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Romania, France, Switzerland and FAU in Germany.
Under the motto “Building Bridges. Bridging Boundaries”, EELISA connects the partner universities with their complementary strengths and profiles to shape innovation and the future of society and master global challenges with intelligent and sustainable solutions through European collaboration.
