University Administration
Responsibilities of the University Administration
The role of the University Administration as a service provider is to ensure that FAU has the administrative infrastructure needed for research and teaching. It is made up of several levels that all work closely together.
Each of the departments and units of the University Administration (ZUV) enable it to perform central administrative tasks such as student, personnel and financial management. At FAU, the faculties are managed autonomously and the faculty administrations link the University Administration and the faculties. The primary tasks of faculty administrations are the academic management of teaching activities and certain aspects of personnel and financial management. Administration at the departments, institute and professorship level is decentralised at FAU. Each of these units are structured differently to reflect the cultures and needs of the various subjects.
Unfortunately, the structural overview of the university administration is currently only available in German.
