Lateral entry/changing subject
Lateral entry/changing subject, changing subject or university
In the case of lateral entry or changing subject, students attempt to avoid the admission restrictions for new students by initially enrolling on a degree programme that is very similar to the one they would like to change to. By attending lectures and seminars that can later be credited to the degree programme they would like to study, students try to gain qualifications for direct admission in a later semester of the degree programme they would like to study.
The Examinations Offices of the relevant subjects are responsible for crediting course achievements. Contact the Student Advice Center of the relevant subject for further information about credits.
