Once you are a student at FAU, e-mails are sent to your own university inbox. This happens automatically once you activate your user ID in the IdM portal and reserve an @fau.de address. You can either access e-mails using the webmail interface in your browser or an e-mail programme like Outlook or Thunderbird. Or, if you prefer, you can forward your e-mails to your personal inbox.

As a physicist, Gabriele Chiogna is used to working on complex equations. However, it is not enough to understand how the availability and quality of water will change during the coming years. The answer to this problem varies greatly, depending on how we use this vital resource in the future.

At the end of July, FAU and its Ukrainian partner university Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (KNU) organized a one week summer school with the title "State Building in (Post)War Reality". Supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the program offered a number of opportunities for rich cultural and educational exchange.
