Christian von Glück (1755–1831)
After completing his studies in law in Halle, Christian von Glück came to Erlangen in 1784 to take on a position as professor of law. During his time at FAU, he focused on providing explanations of the Pandects, the most important surviving evidence of Roman law. Study of the Pandects provided the foundations which were ultimately used to formulate the German Federal Law Gazette (Bundesgesetzblatt).
