Visiting Prof. Dr. Frank Hechtner, Chair of Taxation

Each semester, FAU President Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger visits professors who are new to FAU. He visits them in their institutions to talk about their research, to discover what is close to their heart and to get to know them better.

Our series introduces you to the researchers and gives an impression of the President’s meeting with them.

In episode 18, the President visits Prof. Dr. Frank Hechtner. He holds the Chair of Taxation at FAU.

Frank Hechtner investigates tax complexity, and analyzes tax law and costs arising from compliance with bureaucracy and tax regulations.

He analyzes these areas, as these are the areas that finance the wide range of tasks carried out by the state and have an impact on both companies and individuals.
