A cup with the President – Episode 10: Prof. Dr. Seung Hee Yang

Each semester, FAU president Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger visits professors who have just recently joined FAU. At their respective institutes, he gets to know them better as they talk about their research and share what is important to them.
This series brings a brief introduction of the researcher and allows a peek into such visit by the president.
In episode 10, the President visits Prof. Dr. Seung Hee Yang. She holds the junior professorship for Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical Speech Processing at FAU.
Seung Hee Yung researches the diagnosis and therapy of strokes, and is developing intelligent voice assistance systems for hospitals.
To her, digitizing the health system is an important corner stone to improve the quality of life for patients and medical staff.
Prior to FAU, Seung Hee Yang did her doctorate in engineering at Seoul National University.
To fill up her energy tank, she visits museums, listens to music, and reads novels by Hermann Hesse.
