A perfect summer weekend: The weather was beautiful when more than 6,000 guests enjoyed themselves at the FAU’s 68th Schlossgartenfest on Saturday.

A comprehensive program awaited the visitors: While they were greeted by walk acts and artists on stilts, the FAU Big Band played at the north entrance near the Orangerie, the K36 Big Band provided entertainment at the south entrance in front of the Geozentrum Nordbayern. The welcoming speech of FAU President Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger took place in front of the Orangery. It was followed by live music for dancing: The dance band Picobello from Nuremberg played in front of the Kollegienhaus, the Schaeffler Bigband performed on the middle stage on the main path and Los Chicolores played in front of the Botanical Garden. At 11 p.m., visitors witnessed another big show highlight at the fountain: the LED Dance & Drum Show. Afterwards, the party continued until 2 am.
