QS Graduate Employability Ranking confirms that FAU students enjoy the best prospects
Graduates from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) have excellent opportunities when starting out into the world of work according to the latest QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2020 published by the higher education information service provider Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). The ranking indicates how well students from a university can gain a foothold on the job market. This year, FAU is among the top 10 in Germany for the third time in a row, and one of the top 250 universities on an international scale.
FAU was particularly successful in the category ‘Partnerships with Employers’, in which it was even ranked third in the whole of Germany. The Graduate Employment Rate is also extremely positive, with FAU continuing to hold the 5th place in Germany.
The Bavarian Science Minister, Bernd Sibler, congratulated FAU on its success: ‘The position obtained in the QS Graduate Employability Ranking proves that FAU is keeping a close watch on the current trends in the economy and society and acts accordingly. When they graduate, students from FAU are fully informed experts in their chosen subject area. This is one reason why, according to the QS ranking, FAU graduates have outstanding employment prospects. This does not only benefit the young people themselves, but the whole of Bavaria.’
The QS Graduate Employability Ranking assesses the University’s reputation among employers, the number of successful alumni, the networks between the University and employers, the desirability of graduates among employers from industry and business as well as the employment rate for graduates. A total of 500 universities, including 26 from Germany, are listed in the QS Employability Ranking 2020.
