Events on digitalisation and the connected world

The Nürnberg Digital Festival is in full swing. More than 300 events are being held in the region during the 10-day festival, all focussing on digitalisation in culture, economy and science. FAU is involved this year in several exciting events in Nuremberg, Fürth and Erlangen, including some in English. An overview can be found on the FAU Digital Tech Academy website. Most of the presentations and workshops are offered free of charge, but the number of spaces is often restricted. You can register via the organiser’s website: nuernberg.digital/festival.

Experience the digital world at first hand in a unique urban setting

In Erlangen, the FAU FabLab is working together with a number of other partners to transform a former carpet store into a temporary interactive lab. Until 22 July 2019, the ‘ex-Teppich’ project offers a wide range of experiments at the intersection between the digital world and everyday life. Open daily in Dreikönigstraße 3 in Erlangen, visitors can test an e-scooter, observe a water flea circus, find out about biohacking, visit the photobox and browse through a selection of books on display, plus a whole lot more besides. Further information is available at ex-teppich.de.
