Iranian Consul General visits FAU

The Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran has visited FAU. During his first official visit, Abdollah Nekounam Ghadirli met FAU President Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger to discuss the possibilities of increasing collaboration between FAU and Iranian universities.

Iran considers Germany one of its most important partners for research and academia. FAU already has a co-operation agreement for geography with the University of Tehran. In addition, there are currently 114 students and 19 doctoral candidates with Iranian citizenship enrolled at FAU.
