FAU's natural scientists among world's top 100 for publications

Further proof that FAU’s reputation as an innovative research university is well deserved can be seen in the Nature Index 2016 Rising Stars Supplement. The University is ranked at number 76 in the world and number 19 in Western Europe in the Supplement, which rates universities based on the increase in their contributions to leading science journals. The Chinese Academy of Sciences is at the top of the international index, with the University of Oxford in first place in Western Europe.

The ranking shows which universities have achieved the biggest increases in terms of the number of high quality publications in the 68 most important science journals between 2012 and 2015. FAU is one of eight German universities listed in the top 100. The index compares a total of 8000 universities from all over the world.
